Narrative voice is that sometimes slippery element to a good story that can seem hard to nail down, but you know it when you see it. In this workshop, we'll discuss some examples of strong narrative voice in fantasy to identify what elements can be defined and voice what we can learn from them as writers. We'll then work on developing our own voices through several short writing exercises, sharing our work wherever we feel comfortable.

Fiona McTaggart

Fiona is a lifelong lover of fantasy, sci-fi and genre fiction of all sorts as both a writer and a reader. She has an honours BA in English and Creative Writing from Concordia University in Montreal and is currently working on her third novel.
